Dear Roland,
I haven't been able to work with RO CSVI for weeks.
I've already filed tickets with my hosting provider.
They can't resolve the 503 error. Initially, I found the problem with the manual export. After 9 seconds, the "503 Service Unavailable" message appears, but if I close the pop-up, let the job run, and verify from the log that it's finished, I find the export file in the "export" folder in temp/com_csvi/export. I download it via FTP and can work.
But I tried updating the ICECAT files, and the same problem occurs. After numerous attempts, I managed to complete the job.
Now, by mistake, I enabled Update available fields, and the usual 503 server error message appears.

Do you have any ideas for solving the server busy error 503?

thank

Hi,

So the issue with the 503 error is that the error comes from the webserver or firewall, that sends that error. The process for updating available fields and export is different so there is no consistency either in when the server or firewall gives out the error. Since this is a server configuration I don't really have an idea either. My main idea is that the server might not have enough resources, that is something the hosting people should be able to see. Perhaps it is the database and the webserver is waiting for that too long and gives up and then shows you the 503 error message. Do you always get it or when you export like 5 records it goes fine? If that goes fine, but a larger load is not, it might be database related.

Do you have these issues too when running RO CSVI via cron-job? You can update the list of available fields via a cron-job or CLI as well. You can run this command from the cli folder of your Joomla installation:

php joomla.php rocsvi:maintenance --addon csvi --operation updateavailablefields
You can find that and more in the Setting up a cron job documentation.

I am just thinking, what if they give you more resources, does it happen then as well? Since the export does finish, it seems to be more of a thing starting the export because it does get triggered to start otherwise you could never get the file.
Kind regards,

RolandD
