Resolved Separating VM products & images import

Hello,

I use CSVi to import many thousands of products to Virtuemart, through CSV files.
It's usually a long process and takes a long time.

So far, we do it in two steps:
1) Upload CSV files to check the products, without uploading the images to the server (even though the image filenames are defined in the CSV)
2) When we check products are imported ok, we upload the images to the server, and re-import the CSV files in order to process the images + thumbnails for the products.

I wonder if it's possible to do step (2) without re-importing the whole CSV file.
i.e. is there a way to tell CSVi to not re-import the products, but rather just check for the images and generate the thumbnails?

You can create another import template with operation Media product for VirtueMart for linking images with product and generate thumbnails. The required fields for this import are product_sku and file_url field. You can just add these fields and set other fields to Skip in template fields page so RO CSVI will not process them. Make sure that you set Use file for Configuration to No in your import template settings and on File tab. This way RO CSVI will use the template fields for import and not column headers from import file. Let me know if you need any more clarification.
