That is info from audit:
The 9.11.0 release of 28 July 2026 is a security release, and the vendor states that all versions prior to 9.11.0 are affected. Four classes of flaw were fixed. (1) Path traversal in file upload handling: uploaded filenames were not contained, so an import file could be written outside the intended folder; 9.11.0 sanitises filenames used for storing uploaded files. (2) PHP Object Injection: the codebase used serialize/unserialize on stored data, including ICEcat processing, and was changed throughout to json_encode/json_decode - unserialize on attacker-influenced data allows object injection and, with a suitable gadget chain, code execution. (3) Missing CSRF checks on the About page AJAX buttons and on the retrieval of column headers, so a logged-in administrator could be made to trigger those actions from an attacker-controlled page. (4) XSS when loading rule forms, fixed by returning proper JSON from AJAX calls and escaping output; the full pathname was also disclosed on the About page when fixing folders. All of these require a backend session with access to the component, so exploitation is authenticated - but com_csvi is routinely granted to Manager and Administrator level staff, and the object injection and path traversal both lead to code execution from that position. Update to RO CSVI 9.11.0 or later. Tracked as CVE-2026-65943 (unauthenticated directory creation, CVSS 3.1 7.5 High), CVE-2026-65944 (CSRF vectors in AJAX endpoint handlers, CVSS 3.1 8.8 High) and CVE-2026-65946 (XSS vectors in AJAX endpoint handlers, CVSS 3.1 6.1 Medium), all published 29 July 2026 and all fixed in 9.11.0.
Ok, I have website with RO CSVI 7.X, I can update only to version 8.X, if I can't update client shop to Joomla 5.
So what can I do it now?
Can you create security update for ver. 8.X too?
