Resolved Rule Find and replace

Hello Roland,

I have categories in my csv file , in which 3 categories are like : computers,software,computers-software

I have created a 3 rule for it

1)computers --- Find and replace with --- Computers
2)software --- Find and replace with --- Computers/Software

because i need software category as a nested category of Computers

but when 3rd category comes which is computers-software it replace with : Computers-Computers/Software

and this will created

Computers-Computers >Software
Computers > Software

I don't want to create this one -->Computers-Computers >Software

Will you be able to give me any solution for this.

Hope now you will understand my problem.. :)
I am trying but not so easy to put all the pieces of the puzzle together.

So, this product you want to import has a category value of books,computers-software,lighting,costumes,software,printers, correct?

The comma separates different categories, correct?

What the trick is to creating replace rules is to look for unique values. A rule for software will match both software and computer-software. However a rule for ,software will only match software and not computer-software. This way you need to be creative with the rules.

So you have the 1st rule to change computers into Computers, a 2nd rule to change software into Computers/Software then you need a 3rd rule to find computer-software and change it to Computers/Software. You would then create a 4th rule to clean up any mess where you would change Computers-Computers/Software into Computers/Software and that should do it.

Hello,

Yes it is not looking for it it just find computers and replace it with Computers and Found software and replace it with Computers/Software.And yes it can't look for computers-software this category.

If I not created rule for computers , software and just created for computers-software
and replace it with Computers/Software then when there is only software category it created a new category seprate.Not nested under computers.

Categories come with this way : books,computers-software,lighting,costumes,software,printers

Hello,

To drop the 3rd one, you would have to replace it with nothing so it is empty. What I don't understand yet, how does the replace rule look like for the computers-software category. Can you tell me?

Hello,

I want like : computers > Software>computers-software this way they should nested ??

but it created like :

Computers-Computers >Software
Computers > Software

or is it possible to drop 3rd one ?
