Hello

The field "order_weight" export values like this:

30.0000 Kilogramo

We would like to round that number to 2 decimal places.

Also the fact that it adds the weight unit makes the column a text column in the exported CSV instead of a number column making us rewrite manually the numbers.

Even removing the kg with a rule doesnt make the column act like a numeric column where values are added in open office.

Hello,
The field "order_weight" export values like this:

order_weight field is a numeric field as per virtuemart tables. Just to test, i tried to save a value with KG and it doesnot allow me to save it like for example 30.00kg. Can you check your database to see how this field values are stored in #__virtuemart_shipment_plg_weight_countries table?

You can set the decimal separator and two decimal places in your export template settings and on file tab.

Also the fact that it adds the weight unit makes the column a text column in the exported CSV instead of a number column making us rewrite manually the numbers.

I am sure order_weight is not a text column. Can you check the field in the table as i mentioned above?
Kind regards,

Tharuna

Hello tharuma

I don't have that table in my database #__virtuemart_shipment_plg_weight_countries we use this plugin in case it affects https://open-tools.net/virtuemart/shipping-by-rules.html

But after testing you are right, we get 2 decimals without the "kg" we used to get, this seem to happened in a previous versions for us.

However my questions is if its possible to set decimal places per field instead of per template.

In the same template we export other values were we need 2 decimal places while in this one we dont need decimal places just a rounding value without decimals or simply the value without decimals.

CSVI don't support this plugin but the one which comes with Virtuemart.

No, this is not possible. Decimal places are template based but not field based.

In the same template we export other values were we need 2 decimal places while in this one we dont need decimal places just a rounding value without decimals or simply the value without decimals.

One option here is that you can create your own rules plugin for CSVI and apply it to the fields needed.

Tharuna

Hi Tharuna before we renew your license once more I wanna make sure your statement about shipping by rules was correct.

Until now the shipping plugin has been working fine for us using CSVIPro so I assume is the developer of that plugin the one making it compatible.

There is absolutely no chance we use the crappy shipping method of core VM, actually I don't know of any serious shop capable of using the core shipping.
The one I linked is the most known and used for years so please let me know about this.

Thats correct. It seems like the plugin is using the core VirtueMart shipping tables and so you are not having any problem using it with CSVI.

Are you having any problem now with the plugin with CSVI?

Hi Tharuna, the export is working perfectly, as mentioned that plugin is very popular and I believe that is even more used than core VM shipping so many of their customers use CSVIpro as we do.
