Hi, I hope you’re doing well.

We’re encountering an issue with product import. We have many images, so to save server space, we uploaded them to Google Drive and used the links in the file_url and file_url_thumb fields. However, we’re getting an error during the upload process: “Not added. Error: Incorrect integer value: ‘’ for column ‘file_is_downloadable’ at row 1.”

I’ve already set “Save images on server” to “Yes.” Could you please guide us on how to resolve this issue?

Hello,

Let me correct you that Virtuemart is supporting external drive URL
Did you actually try it? I did and it does not work, VirtueMart turns this URL into a non-existing URL and throws this message:
File not found /var/www/html/joomla5.test/://drive.google.com/file/d/1HEGV0VWjAI6kx4EGHLgfmLJ4TFE4OdbG/view
So it is not really a question if RO CSVI can import it, VirtueMart won't handle it.

Only option I see is that you use a custom field of type string and handle that in your template to show it but yeah, VirtueMart will not know it is an image or anything.
Kind regards,

RolandD

Hi Roland,

Thanks for your message, so let me tell you that we want to save space on server so we decided to use google drive space and we want to upload images using ROCSVI with external google drive link ..so is there any possibility with ROCSVI ?

Let me correct you that Virtuemart is supporting external drive URL .we need to first add external image url into 1) Virtuemart->Shop->Media file second step is to open your product and select media file..check attached two snapshot for more reference.

So let me know is there any possibility to upload external images through ROCSVI?

Hello,

All good here, and you?

Now, you do not mention it but guessing from the error you get, you are using VirtueMart. Now VirtueMart does not support product images to be externally located, they must reside on the same server where VirtueMart is located.

Setting the Save images on server to Yes, will download the files again from Google Drive to your server.

Are you trying to save space on your own computer or the server hosting?

If you are trying to copy the files from Google Drive to your server then that is failing and we need to see the debug log as requested at the start of this forum. Please provide the Where to find debug information log and we can take a closer look.
Kind regards,

RolandD
