Hi,

I found a problem with the RO CSVI addon listed for J2Commerce. :D
The downloaded plugin is still named plg_csviaddon_j2store and it refers to old J2Store database tables. For example, when using it in the backend, I get: Table '#__j2store_addresses' doesn't exist...
So either the addon is incorrectly listed as J2Commerce-compatible, or the package/download is wrong. ;)

kind regards,
Chris

Hi Chris,

There is no problem to be found ;)

The downloaded plugin is still named plg_csviaddon_j2store and it refers to old J2Store database tables.
That is not entirely correct, this also applies to J2Commerce 4 which is based on J2Store. In that version they use the J2Store tables and the extension is called J2Commerce. Hence we changed the name at the time they did.

So either the addon is incorrectly listed as J2Commerce-compatible, or the package/download is wrong.
That depends on which version you refer to. Our plugin was released before J2Commerce 6 was released.

Our next release, on June 30th, will feature a plg_csviaddon_j2commerce addon that is build for J2Commerce 6, which can then be used for your imports and exports.
Kind regards,

RolandD

Hi Chris,
Please load the attached patch file and check product export again. Export should get records with fix in patch file. Try and let me know on how that goes.

Now I understand everything...
If the addon for the latest J2Commerce component is really planned for the end of June, then I can only appreciate that. ?
That would make testing J2Commerce much more realistic.
At the same time, I have to admit that while testing J2Commerce, I already start to miss some features that are available in more mature components like HikaShop. :)

Kind regards,
Chris

It is definitely planned, working on it as we speak.

Not things that are available as plugins? I can also understand if things are missing, development was at a standstill for a long time and converting that whole codebase is a humongous task.

Pick the right tool for the job :D

Thanks for the quick J2Commerce update. I ran a test, and the export works—but not for every option. I can export prices or orders, but I can't export what's most important: the products. I'm getting empty results. Am I doing something wrong? Is there a specific requirement I need to follow for the export to work?

I found a bug. If the product type is set to “all,” the export will fail.:)

By the way, good job, Roland.
Thanks and best regards,

I found another strange bug with the “manufacturers” dropdown list
For example, in the store's admin panel, I only have 5 manufacturers (I don't have anything in my cart). But in the CSVI plugin settings, in addition to those five, I see extra empty entries that I can select

Hi Chris,
We use address table to get manufacturer data since that is the table where name and company details are stored. For some address details of manufacturers company name is empty and so the list shows empty values. I have cleaned code with attached patch file. Please load the patch file and check manufacturer list.

It's very possible that the option to select a manufacturer is mixed up with the option to select vendors...

Yes—manufacturers and vendors are listed together under a single drop-down menu as “manufacturers.”
In addition, extra empty fields appear on this list.

Hi Tharuna,

I tested the patch and everything works perfectly now. The manufacturer list is now correct and the empty entries are gone.
Thank you for the very fast fix!
