Hi people,

I now have a problem with my import:

A Joomla article has been overwritten by an import with the same title. In other cases, the alias was postfixed by a number and this also worked fine in a few tests today.

So how can this happen? Do you have an idea?

Thank you!!

Regards
Matt

Hello Matt,
Since this is a new issue I created it as new forum post.

A Joomla article has been overwritten by an import with the same title. In other cases, the alias was postfixed by a number and this also worked fine in a few tests today.

RO CSVI finds existing article from database using title/alias and catid/category_path field. If there is a matching record it is updated else a new article is created. In your case there must be already existing record with same title and category and so it is overwritten. And for alias check if Recreate alias is set to Yes in import template. This setting will import unique alias. If there is a record existing with given alias or title then new alias is generated with postfixed number.

You can post import debug log to check more on this. To get the debug log read How to collect debug information? document.
Kind regards,

Tharuna
