Hello,

I'd just need to confirm that I'm doing quantity based pricing correctly. 1, 2-7, 8-25, 26-49, 50+.

I asked here https://forum.virtuemart.net/index.php?topic=135481.0 as I'm new to this which led me to https://csvimproved.com/support/visual-available-fields/virtuemart/789-product-pricing before asking here.

I've attached my csv have I done this correctly for import?

I need the output to be very similar to http://www.glow-sticks.org/50-Pack-of-Glow-Necklaces.html. A little table with the quantities on and the price changing when they are altered.

Many thanks for your time and effort your help is appreciated and valued.

Kind regards

I see what you mean now. I had done separate prices sheet, but not separate prices template.

Thank you, done and all sorted now.

Hello,
Problem 1 - Virtuemart image is not showing.
Reading your forums I see that allow image to be saved on server must be checked, which it is for the template. The image file exists under the file location. Typing in URL shows this.
CSVI Product Sample file csv
com_csvi.log.21

You have used absolute url for your image which is not needed as the image is stored in your server already. You can just use the name of the image in import field like glow-bracelet.jpg. CSVI will take the VirtueMart default location for the product image(images/stories/virtuemart/product/) and process the image. Try import after this change and your image should process good.

Problem 2 - Error message: These fields have been found but are not supported by CSVI: price_quantity_start, price_quantity_end.
I have run update fields several times as suggested in the log.
CSVI Prices Sample file csv
com_csvi.log.25

As i mentioned already in other post you need to do price import for this and not product import. Price and product are two different imports, you need to setup two import templates and use import file accordingly. The fields price_quantity_start and price_quantity_end are not supported by product import and so you see the error. Please check the linked document on how to do price import.
Kind regards,

Tharuna

Thank you for all your help. I've done what you suggested, however I am encountering errors. Attached log and two single product csv's as I want to import one product correctly first before doing all the others.

I've tried importing the product csv first then prices csv as you suggested.

Don't know what else to do, I've tried over and over again to fix these issues.

Joomla 3.6.2, CSVI Improved 6.6.4.

Thank you for any help provided.

Hello,
Am I correct in thinking that if both files have the same SKU then that product will simply be updated and both files essentially merged for that 1 product?

yes, thats correct. CSVI checks for product_sku against database records, if product_sku value not found it will insert new record else it will update the existing record.

I'll be sure to do the product csv first then prices.

Checking your product import sample file shows you have multiple rows for one product and with same details. You can make it one row for your product import and that should be enough.

Tharuna

Thank you for your response. I've added the csv's created for 1 product, following the guide in the links you sent.

I'll be sure to do the product csv first then prices.

Hello,
You have mixed product details fields with product price fields in one import file, in this case you need to two different imports for a product. The link you sent us in your post is the fields which are supported for importing product price. As you can see fields like product_desc, product_name are not supported here. You need to do VirtueMart product import for these fields. Try doing the following

1. Do VirtueMart product import so all your product details are imported except price_quantity_start and price_quantity_end fields as these fields are not supported in VirtueMart product import.
2. Then do VirtueMart product price import so the price_quantity_start and price_quantity_end fields are update to the product.

If you have any issue post the debug log of your imports to check. To know how to get debug log, check 'Where to get the debug information?' section on top of this page.
Kind regards,

Tharuna
