Can you give us more information on your import? Which import you are trying to do? Post sample import file and debug log of the import to check. To know on how to get the debug log check Where to get debug information? section on top of this page.

I tried with Import/Virtuemart/Product and Import/Virtuemart/Price

I had not looked at the log before, but now I see " Missing required fields"

Hello,
You are missing the required field in your import file which are needed to update a price row and so your seeing "Missing required fields" error. Please have a look at VirtueMart prices import document to know on the required fields for price import. Once you have these required fields in your import your product_discount_id should get updated. If you still have any issues post the latest debug log of the import.
