Hello!

RO CSV 8.5.0
Joomla 3.10.11
VM 3.6.8

After updating RO CSV to 8.5.0 from 7.14 I am facing the following problem:
When importing product updates, where I have for example a field named Wattage with a different value it does not overwrite the previous one - look at the screenshot, although Overwrite existing data option in the import template is set to Yes.

Please help, because I am starting to make a big mess on the site, because I did not know about this bug, before making the changes.

Hello Tharuna,
and thank you for your fast help!

For now I do not want to change the version, since we downgraded and everything works fine. When we ungraded to 8.5.0 I will remember to load your patch. For now I will mark your answer as resolving the issue.

Have a great day!

Hello,
Thank you for the patch - the export works fine now too.

Glad to know the patch fixed the problem.

To be honest I do not understand the procedure to update a value of custom field in VirtueMart Product import, i did not ever knew that there is a special thing to do. For me it is always has been easier just to use product_sku and the field that I want to change - it is the quickest and easy way.

Will look into this issue and get back with an update.
Kind regards,

Tharuna

Hello,
Yes I see that update of custom fields works in RO CSVI 7.14.0 version without custom_title, custom_value, custom_delete fields. I will look into what has changed and keep you posted.

For Export - Column 'category_parent_id' in field list is ambiguous. Please check the thread here, I have posted the patch file. Try to load the patch file and run the export.
Kind regards,

Tharuna

I have downgraded CSV to 7.14.0 and everything works fine - import as sharp as always. But I have the same problem as in my previous ticket - I can not make an Export - Column 'category_parent_id' in field list is ambiguous. I think I just need a patch, because for now for this site updating to CSV 8.5.0 does not work as expected.

With
RO CSVI 7.14.0
Joomla! 3.10.11
VirtueMart 3.6.8

i can make an import without problems and everything works good - wattage is changed from 5KWh to 5k and there is no other rows under Wattage row. The import template looks the same as one I have attached above. I am attaching it again.

Is this something new, coming from the new version of the template. Because with RO CSV 7.14 I've never have experienced such a annoying problem. Please look at my table - there are two fields product_sku and Wattage - this is a string typo custom field. I am always updating things this way and it works every time. How to change Wattage now? Show me your example of table, please

Hello,
There is a procedure to update a value of custom field in VirtueMart Product import. You need to delete existing value using custom_title, custom_value, custom_delete fields and then update the new value with individual template field. Please check Product import with custom fields document and Updating existing custom fields values section.
Kind regards,

Tharuna
