I recently upgraded my store from VM2 to VM3. I've noticed that now, when I do an order item export with CSVI, the attribute filed no longer contains the name of the attribute, only a reference number. Unfortunately for my store, this creates like six thousand attribute reference numbers, so it's impossible to know what exactly was in each order. Is there a way to export the order items with the corresponding attribute name in VM3?

The Live Update has been phased out, CSVI uses the regular Joomla updater now.

Good to hear the issue is solved.
Kind regards,

I didn't realize there was an update. I have been relying on the CSVI Live Update tab, which states:
You already have the latest version
Installed version 5.20

Now that I've checked the Downloads menu on your site, I see the 5.21.2 update.

I'll give it a try.

Thank you.

P.S. I just tried it, and the update solves the problem

You will need to update CSVI to version 5.21.2 to get the correct value on order export.

I'm using J3.4.1 + VM3.0.9 with CSVI 5.20. (I haven't updated my live site's VM to 3.0.9.4 because it breaks something, which I haven't successfully been able to troubleshoot yet.)

In virtuemart_product_customfields, for field id=92673, the field value="18x24 Canvas"

Hello Art,

Thank you for the kind words.

In regards to your issue, which VirtueMart 3 version are you using? Which CSVI version are you using? The other question is, if you look into your database with PhpMyAdmin and go to the table virtuemart_product_customfields, is there any entry with virtuemart_customfield_id value 92673? If yes, is there any data in the customfield_value field?

This is just to get an idea of how the data is stored and why it won't show on export.
Kind regards,

RolandD

I'm selling printed artwork in my store. The attributes, called "Specifications:", are cart variants. There are about five different sizes, each on paper or canvas, framed or unframed. Each combination has it's own price. 99% of the products on the store pull from those same combination of attributes, but not every product is available in every size.

Before I upgraded to VM3, I would get product_attribute export fields which look like this:
{"89466":" <span class=\"costumTitle\">Specifications:<\/span><span class=\"costumValue\" >18x24 Paper<\/span>"}
now they look like this:
{"3":"92673"}
The latter is indecipherable.

Originally, I could have done without all the unnecessary garbage, but it's easy enough to find & replace it out. The only part I really need is just the custom value, "18x24 Paper."

I use the exported data for two different purposes: 1) accounting, and 2) mass data massaging in Excel, after which, I re-import to VM.

Thank you for your help. BTW, because your extension for VM is so flexible and powerful, it has become the main reason I have avoided migrating to Magento. CSVI has become indisposable to me.

CSVI does try to get a meaningful name of the attribute but it all depends on what the number relates too. Honestly, it's a mess how that information is stored. If the ID ever changes, you can never know for sure what it used to be ;)

What kind of attributes are we talking about here? Please explain in great detail so I am sure what it is that is being stored.
Kind regards,

RolandD
