Resolved Number of records in logs is 0

Looks like you need to update to the current version 7.6.2, I don't see this issue with the current version. Running a cron import fills the log correctly for me.

updated CSVI and extensions version but the 0 is always there!
Different websites have different behaviour. One shows correct number of records, the other no.
Could different PHP version cause this?
wrong (0) output -> PHP version 7.0.30
correct output -> PHP version 5.6.14

So after your report I setup a server with PHP 7.0.30 and ran the cron import but still I see the number of records shown. Is it possible to switch to PHP 7.1 or PHP 7.2 on the affected server and see if you get the number of records in the log?

What is the output of the cron job that doesn't record the number of items? All this seems to me is that the script doesn't end gracefully and so doesn't have a chance to update the database. As you noticed as well, it is only happening on this particular server.

Unless there are people with the same problem we may be able to pinpoint this. It is going to be hard to figure out what is happening on just this server.

I am experiencing the same issue with import routines that I run via cron.

In my case it seems that in addition to the log file not getting updated correctly, the import never processes all of the records in the source file. (For example, during my latest tests my source file had 9393 records and when processed using cron a different number of records were imported each time - as few as ~8800 and as many as ~9200 but never the entire file.) As with the original post in this thread, I only experience these problems when I run the import as a cron job. Running the same CSVI import routine manually produces reliable results every time.

Any insight here would be greatly appreciated.

I seem to have resolved the issue on my system. I have multiple cron jobs defined and increased the amount of time between the CSVI import routine cron and the other cron jobs. It appears that the import routine was getting interrupted by another cron job. Interestingly, I had timed each of the processes that I have defined as a cron before setting them up as cron jobs to be sure I was leaving enough time between them but it looks like they may require significantly more time to complete as cron jobs as opposed to standalone entries run manually.
