Hi Roland,

Today I updated my CSVI Pro from 6.5.7 to 6.6.2 on my local install (just to be sure)
No errors or messages all updated wihout any problems.

However.... After this update;
If I try to do a product export (VM) all is processed but no file is generated for download. But it does goes to the log page (as is usual)
If I try to download al log-file no file is downloaded (data is opened in my browser screen)
If I try to export my templates to a file again no file is generated or presented

Since I cannot make any files at this moment,
I cannot provide you with a log file or anything helpfull like that (maybe there's a way i'm not aware of?)

Hello Jack,
This is something to do with the browser settings you are using, it is suppressing the download dialog box. Can you try with a different browser and check? One more option is to clear cache and see if it helps.

Thanks for your quick response.

First thing I tried... checked that ;-)
Safari, Chrome, Firefox makes no difference... same result

Just checked saving the file to server, instead of download... that seems to work ok.
So a file is being generated... just not for download.

Hello Jack,
Can you check if you have any Javascript error on download? You can have a look at the document using firebug to analyse problems to capture the error and post a screenshot on what you see.

Hello Jack,
Your screenshot is good, there is no JS error and the URL is so because you should be on windows machine. Can you check if your export files are available at location tmp/com_csvi/export folder? Also check what happens if you copy the download URL from your firebug console and paste it on browser window.

Hi Karuna,

During the export i can see the file in the folder tmp/com_csvi/export.
But when the process finishes the file is gone (deleted?)

Pasting the url from Firebug in a browser window gives the following window (see attachment):
Which is the same window as I get after an export.
Seems ok but no file.

Hello Jack,
If your export folder is empty then it says that download has been triggered as CSVI will remove the file from this folder once the download has been complete. I cant think of any other way why your download dialog box is not shown. Do you see those files in download history of browser?

Hi Tharuna,

Sorry no, there aren't any CSVI files in my download history.
Not in any of my browsers, Safari, Chrome, Firefox.

Prior to this version it worked fine....
maybe there's been a glitch during the update process?
I realise now, that this install has been patched by Roland before.

I'll try a complete reïnstall of the component and plugins.

Hello Jack,

The behavior of what you are seeing is not uncommon but usually after a second export it works from there on. Seems almost like a browser caching issue.

Do you have the same behavior on the live site?

One thing you can try, is to open a private window and see how the export runs there.
