Hello,
Can you try to update your available fields and see if it helps? If not, can you send me your site administrator login details and database access details to check?
Kind regards,

Tharuna

Hello,
Thank you for sending your site details. That really helped, the SQL error you were getting in product export is because of the field batch, if i add all other custom fields except batch to your product export template, it works.

So this should be the case, when adding custom fields, HikaShop alters the product table and adds a new column with the same custom field name to product table. I am thinking that once you have deleted the custom field batch, HikaShop has removed the custom field leaving behind the column in product table and that is what is causing the issue.

Since you have these custom fields in product table, i think you can use product import/export for your custom fields. Kindly ignore my previous post about using custom fields import/export routine. Let me know if you need any more help here.
Kind regards,

Tharuna

Hi Tharuna,

Sorry, but I don't understand your explanation. :(

In this issue I can't find custom fields to select for my export.

And if you look at my SQL export, there is now column batch inside.

Oké sorry, I think I understand you.

So I don't have to use the custom export methode: http://csvimproved.com/support/tutorials/240-hikashop/1412-hikashop-custom-fields#export
like you told me to use because custom field must be separated exported.

Yes, i have added your custom fields except field batch to your "All product fields export from Hikashop" template and it works now. You can now directly use product import/export routine and ignore my idea of using custom fields import/export as linked in the document. Hope it is clear now.
Kind regards,

Tharuna

Hi Tharuna,

Thanks, the only thing I like to know is how can I delete this batch column?
If I look to the database (see attachement) I can't find a column in to the product table.

Do you know where CSVI looks for this coumn?

Kind regards,
Lumiga

Hello Lumiga,

Do you know where CSVI looks for this coumn?

I looked into the SQL dump file you sent and there is no column called batch in it but at the same time whenever you do update to your available fields, CSVI clears all the current available fields and does a fresh insert so if the batch column is not in the product table, CSVI wont make any inserts for this. There is some trace of this field in your database. I wont be able to tell more unless i access your database.
Kind regards,

Tharuna

Hello,
Thank you for sending the details. I had a look at your database and there is no reason i could say why the field batch has been seen. i tried removing this field from CSVI available fields table but updating available fields is getting this field back. This is not the case when i delete an HikaShop custom field from my test site and update available fields. The only other way i could think of is that the batch field has been added to the file administrator/components/com_csvi/addon/com_hikashop/install/availablefields.sql.
Kind regards,

Tharuna

Hi Tharuna,

I have checked the file availablefields.sql but there is no batch found in this file.
See attachment.
So you don't know where CSVI will get this field from?
As you say when you delete a custom field in Hikashop on your server it works fine.
We can say the same, because we deleted 8 fields, but the strange thing is that batch isn't deleted well. Based or the fact that it's still visible at CSVI.

We hope you'll ever find the reason why the field batch is displayed. For now we leave it, and hope it will not hurt in the future.

Hello,
Yes i agree to what you say, it is strange that the batch field is still visible and i don't see any reason why it shows up. CSVI updates available fields from two places, one from HikaShop table columns and other from the availablefields SQL file, if the field is not in these places then it should be something related to your site. I don't have any more options to think here.
Kind regards,

Tharuna

Hello,
I found the cause for batch field, you seem to have this as product characteristic in HikaShop, on your administrator if you go to HikaShop >> Products >> Characteristics, you can see an entry for batch field there and that is causing the issue. If you don't want it you can delete it and you wont see this field anymore.
Kind regards,

Tharuna
