Hi Roland,

Noticed the following issue when importing multivariants with -no orderable parents- :

- A blank row is appearing in the dropdown instead of -Select- , see attached image.

If i create the fields manually it is ok. I'm trying to find out more abt this!

See attached csv file and log.

Hello Chris,

If i create the fields manually it is ok. I'm trying to find out more abt this!
The empty entry comes from the parent product having no value in the COM_VIRTUEMART_CF_EDITION field. I will have to do some more checking/testing/shaving and will get back to you on this.
Kind regards,

RolandD

Hello Chris,

So I have done my tweaking :) Attached is the patch file that should fix the empty entry for the parent.

Let me know how it goes.

Thanks Roland,

Just tested, and we are almost there i think :)

I noted that the blank space is not there anymore. However, if you go to the parent product, you don't see the 'Select' option in the dropdown, but you get a preselection of the first child product which is not correct. No child product should be preselected, but a 'Select' option should be shown.

Wrong Display (CVSI Import) :

Correct Display (Manual Creation OR CSVI+Save):

Pls notice that after CSVI import you can correct the display of the product by clicking SAVE in the product edit screen of VM3. It seems that VM3 is correcting/saving smth in the database which corrects the display :)

Hello Chris,

Actually I had the empty entry in the dropdown show up as Please select but that may be because I am using the fancy dropdown. I figured it wouldn't be nice, so I removed it alltogether :)

I have updated the code and now get the Please select in the empty dropdown as expected. Made some more cosmetic code changes.

Please give the attached patch file a try and let me know.

@Atrus

This is exactly what I want to test at the moment.
Do you have a sample CSV file of how have imported your products that I could take a peek at?

I have already imported 100's of parent/child products and now want to use CSVi to set all the multi variants up, where all my parents are not orderable,

Thanks
Andy
