Roland,
I am testing our new site with data to see how it reacts. My problem is when I import price updates on the same item, the system change to multiple prices. What is the reason for this and how do I change it so it does not happen?

Hello,

Please post the file you are importing and the debug log as well. The reason this happens is because it can't find the existing price.
Kind regards,

RolandD

Ronald,
Thank you for the reply, see attached import file and 3 download logs.

I have imported the same file 3 times without making any changes, and it adds the same price multiple. My objective is to update prices as they change from our supplier over time and to show the latest updated price. We are only selling in 1 country with 1 currency.

Waiting your soonest reply.

Regards,

Hello Pieter,

All the debug logs are 0 bytes, so nothing in them. I notice that your product currency is set to R. That is incorrect, this should be ZAR. Make that change and see if the price is still added or updated.
Kind regards,

Roland,
Thank you, the prices is now updating and does not add as multiples.

My next challenge is that the selling price is not showing at the front end of the site, any advice?

Pieter,

There are many configuration options in VirtueMart for showing prices. First check would be if you see the price if you save the product manually. If it shows up then, it might be something incorrect in the import. If that does not make a difference, it is a setting somewhere in VirtueMart, for example the shopper group the price is assigned to.
Kind regards,

RolandD

Roland,
Thanks for the reply, I did play around with the settings, shopper groups and created an item manually. No luck, it does not show the purchase value.

Pieter,

If your manually created item does not show any price, it is not a CSVI issue. Please check with the VirtueMart team what might be the cause in your case.
Kind regards,

RolandD
