Hello

At long last I upgraded our csvi version from v5 to v7.2.

I have managed to replicate product sitemaps in all our installed languages except for some 'en-' variants..

On the Options screen -> Language, these languages do not appear even though they are installed in Joomla (3.81) and registered in VM (3.2.4).

See screenshot.

My question is:

Which files need to be present or edited for the language to appear in the Options-Language drop-down?

I have read an earlier post where the poster re-installed VM but that seems a bit extreme(?).

TIA

Eddie

Hello Tharuna,

Good find. Weird that this happened, but I manually removed the duplicates in the xxx_extensions table and now it's fixed. Thanks!

Hello Roderic,
Thank you for posting the requested details. Had a look at your site and the reason for Dutch language not shown in language dropdown list is because you have same language pack installed twice. This is something we cannot fix in RO CSVI. It is Joomla reading installed languages and showing it in export dropdown list for RO CSVI. So you need to remove one Dutch language pack to fix the issue.
Kind regards,

Tharuna

Hello Roderic,
RO CSVI collects Joomla installed languages, check if the related VirtueMart language tables are installed and use them in the dropdown. Since Dutch language installed in Joomla languages and you say VirtueMart tables exists, i am really wondering on the cause for the issue. More surprising is that the code to show the languages in template hasn't changed since 2015. Is it possible to send administrator login and (S)FTP details to check? You can post it on Site Details tab under your reply.
Kind regards,

Tharuna

Hello Roderic,
Do you have Dutch language installed in Joomla Language manager? Can you post a screenshot of it?

Hello Tharuna,

Since the main language of this site is Dutch, it is indeed installed. See screenshots.

I think this is a somewhat recent problem, as in, from the last year or so. I mainly export on this website but I have used an import template for the last time in 2017, opened it yesterday to change and use it. The dropdown for the language was unset/blank. I guess it was previous set to Dutch but somehow that value has gone missing. I have also tried setting it to en-GB and then replacing that with nl-NL in the database for this template. Same result.

I tried updating available fields several times, made sure the language files are up to date etc. No success so far.

Cheers

UPDATE:

If I don't save the template after editing the template in the database, then run the import, it will work as it should. So the problem is solely by not being able to select the language.

Hello,

Was there a fix for this? I have a similar issue. Dutch is set as standard language but it is not selectable in RO CSVI. The table virtuemart_product_nl_nl does exist. This website has been around for 10+ years and there are no issues with the Dutch language except for the fact I cannot select it in the template.

Cheers

Hello Eddie,
Can you send a private message with you site administrator login details? Let me check how the languages are set in your site.
Kind regards,

Tharuna

Hello Theruna

There are no missing tables.

en-GB is the default currency, so I do not know why en-US appears and not the others.

Best

Hello Eddie,
Do you have these VirtueMart language tables in your database? One reason why CSVI don't show them even though these languages are installed is that these language tables are missing in your VirtueMart database. Can you confirm if you have #__virtuemart_products_en_au, #__virtuemart_products_en_ca and #__virtuemart_products_en_nz. language tables?
Kind regards,

Tharuna
