Hello,
That is very little information you have provided so far. "It doesn't work" tells us as much as "It's raining". What happened during the update? What is on the result page?
Which CSVI version are you using? Make sure you are using CSVI 6.5.1 as there may be an issue with your database tables.
Also have a look at the Setting up a VirtueMart multi-language shop tutorial.

Roland,
sure .... (btw today it's dry, no rain
)
Latest available Virtuemart Version 3.0.12
Latest available CSVI Pro 6.5.1
MySql 5.5
PHP 5.5.31
Joomla! 3.4.8 Stable
Shop is Virtuemart with 2 languages (German & French)
I've tried to import in the category customtitle, metadesc, metakey and slug in the right language. In the CSVI tables are only category customtitle, metadesc, metakey and slug visible from the category table but not from the language category tables. The geman and french category tabels tables includes also a translated text field with category customtitle, metadesc, metakey and slug ... but i couldn't see them ...
My idea is to have the following import files
category
category_de
category_fr
The fields are already updated in the Maint. tab from csvi but i could't still not see the fields. Possibly i'm absolutely wrong ....
Any idea?
Regards

Hello Reto,
First need to find out which fields you see or don't see.
The geman and french category tabels tables includes also a translated text field with category customtitle, metadesc, metakey and slug ... but i couldn't see them ...Which fields do you see on the Available Fields list? There should 34 fields on the list if you filter it on Import / VirtueMart / Category.
My idea is to have the following import filesYou only need 2 files as 1 language should be chosen as primary language. As described in the tutorial the primary language file only has the category_path field with the category you want. The translation file also has the category_path_trans which contains the translated path. The full explanation is in the tutorial.
category
category_de
category_fr

Hi Roland
I can see the fields in the attached picture.
Additionaly i've added similar like the files in the tutorial. I hope these ones are ok for a start.
The headers of the files looks like ..
German file:
category_path;category_published;Category Image;virtuemart_category_id;category_name;category_description metadesc;metakey;customtitle;slug
French file:
category_path_trans;virtuemart_category_id;category_name;category_description;metadesc;metakey;customtitle;slug
The CSV should be utf-8 without Bom
Thans for the quick feedback

Hello Reto,
Issues I see in the files:
With these issues fixed you first import the German one and then the French one. When importing the French one make sure you set the correct languages in the import template.
Now i'm missing the fields in the import as example for customtitle, metadesc, metakey and slug for the 2nd language. The screenshot shows you do have the fields available.
Issues I see in the files:
- Do not use the virtuemart_category_id, this is an internal field and controlled by the database. Once you start using this field all the control is out of CSVIs hands. You should just be using the category_path field.
- The image has no extension like .jpg or .png. This way CSVI can't process the images for you.
- The category_name field can also be removed as it has no value because the category_path is already used.
With these issues fixed you first import the German one and then the French one. When importing the French one make sure you set the correct languages in the import template.
Kind regards,
RolandD
