Hi,

I successfully used RO CSVI for a couple of projects.

On my latest project I do have trouble to convert my Map (based on an Excel file) into a Template: there seems to be no field map.

Any ideas?

Thanks and kind regards

Hello,
Do you see any error when creating the template with field mapper? Can you post the sample of file you are using with Field mapper to check?
Kind regards,

Tharuna

Hi Tharuna,
I do not get any errors while declaring the Map. - I do not get an error while clicking the "Create template" link of the map. - A template file gets created but without any fields. On "run" selecting my source Excel file I do get the following error message "No column headers have been found in the file".
I am wondering why the mapped fields does not show up under the fields tab of the template. As far as I know they should show up, if the template got created through a map?

Kind regards,
Bernhard

Ok, send me the import file with a screenshot of settings you used for Field mapper and I will check on what is going on.

On "run" selecting my source Excel file I do get the following error message "No column headers have been found in the file".

That is correct. Your column headers should be different from the available fields and so the error. You are using Field mapper for the same reason column headers of the file are different from what is supported.

I am wondering why the mapped fields does not show up under the fields tab of the template. As far as I know they should show up, if the template got created through a map?

Yes mapped fields should show up if the Field mapper is saved after the fields are selected. Send me the requested file and i will check it. Also tell me the RO CSVI version you are using.
Kind regards,

Tharuna

Hello Bernhard,
I don't see any problem with Field mapper and your file. I guess you have Joomla component and Operation fields selected in the Field mapper though screenshot you posted shows them not selected. Please make sure to save the Field mapper once the fields are selected.
Kind regards,

Tharuna

Hello Bernhard,
If you still have problem with Field mapper, you can add template fields from RO CSVI template fields page and by selecting the import template in the filter. The order of template fields should be same as columns headers in file. In import template settings on File tab set Use file for configuration to No and save the template. You should be able to run the import after that.
Kind regards,

Tharuna

Hi Tharuna,

thanks for the hint. I just tried it again. No success yet. :(
See attached screenshots of the map settings as well as the empty fields tab section in the template I created after saving the map settings first.
I disabled all Firewalls (Akeeba AdminTools as well as RS Firewall).

Any ideas?

Hi Tharuna,

I will try "Use file for configuration" in the template. Thanks for the hint and your support so far.

Kind regards,
