Resolved Long delay running export using frontend menu

You did not tell us which export operation you are using.

Upgraded to 7.6 and now the frontend export takes more than 15 minutes after the browser times out.
If i run the export through backend it will finish in 20 seconds.

Update RO CSVI to latest 7.18.0 version and check if that makes a difference.

I tested with or without SEF urls, with or without SEF urls cache but frontend export takes too long with error "ERR_TOO_MANY_REDIRECTS".
Is there something i should consider?

To speed up export we have an option in RO CSVI Maintenance page to generate SEF URLs beforehand and use them in export. To do that go to CSVI Maintenance page, select export template extension in first option, Refresh SEF URL's in second option. Select your export template and click the Continue button in the toolbar. SEF URLs will be generated and stored in database. You can then run the export and check.

1. I don't want to move forward to a late version avoiding the need of updating joomla as that will mess up with many other extensions. At the same time i noticed that only until version 7.13 the minimum requirement of joomla verion is clear and mentioned to the release status. I will try 7.13 and report if export works faster.

2. The type of the export is a normall VM product export with sku, name, description and picture.

3. I have already generated sef urls. The problem is that everything works perfect and fast from backend (completes the task in less than 30sec) but using a menu to automate that for the user takes too long. (about 15 min for 1680 records).

Ok, try it and see if that helps.

What if you try export only with sku and name field? Does the export finish?

The export fields you have mentioned does not include product_url field. SEF URLs are used only when you use product_url as one of the export field. So something else is slowing down the export in your site. Does the export finish in 15 minutes or ends in some error?

I just wanted to update the post to let you know that installing the Version CSVI 7.13 fixed the problem. Now i can export the same xml in less than 5 seconds in front end and backend.

Could you please let me know if the other versions are compatible with Joomal 3.7.0?
