Resolved Issue in import VM multiple custom fields via CSV file.

Hi,

I need solution about import multiple VM custom fields like following. Right now CSVI Pro 7.2.3 only import fist unique custom field but I need to import all custom fields like below.
Please find attached csv file for more details.

manual~manual~manual~catalog~firmware~firmware~firmware~firmware~firmware~leaflet~leaflet~Icon Image
Issue we face now:

At the time of CSV import: CSVI Pro 7.2.3 provide facility to import only unique custom filed at a time one.
So if in import CSV there are following custom fields titles same as other fields like attached csv file.

manual~manual~manual~catalog~firmware~firmware~firmware~firmware~firmware~leaflet~leaflet~Icon Image
Total 12 custom fields
Currently CSVI Pro 7.2.3 import only one manual, one catalog, one firmware, once leaflet and one Icon

So instead of 12 custom fields this extension import only 5 custom fields which are unique.

And I need solution for import all my VM 12 custom fields as I have given example.

Looking forward to get solution asap.

Hello,
The problem is that you are having same custom_value for all the custom fields, when importing CSVI checks if the custom field say for example manual is already in database with value fileattachment. Since the row is already found row is been updated. Having the same custom_value for custom fields don't make sense to me, is there any reason you have these duplicated values?

Thanks for your reply and time for this.

As per you said custom_value need always unique but unfortunately we used "Virtuemart Custom Fields - File Attachment" plugin.
(This Virtuemart plugin creates a File Attachment custom field. You can display downloadable files on the frontend of your website, i.e. on the product detail page. For more information and documentation take a look at http://www.VirtuemartAttachement.com)

How this plugin store data in custom field table.

In this plugin fileattachment text is put in custom_value and my attachment file path and other popup window height width, file type, file title will be store in custom_param

So how can I import this types of multiple custom fields via CSVI Pro 7.2.3?

Hello,
Currently CSVI does not support the import of "Virtuemart Custom Fields - File Attachment" plugin custom fields. But we will add this to our todo list so it can be added to future CSVI versions.

Hello,

The one thing you could try it to use the custom_mulitple option. The options is explained in the Product import with custom fields document. Not sure if this will work but it is worth a try.

When you think the new version of CSVI versions with this functionality available into market?

Right now we are not at a point to tell you exactly when this functionality will be added but will keep you posted when development is done on this feature.
