Hi, My client has infact requested some quite major modifications to the site, therefore Im currently changing the import and other elements on the site.

I have hit a problem straight away, in that I seem unable to save rules that I am editing (also I tried creating a new rule and saving but this also didn't work), all 3 save buttons are not clickable (save, save and new, save and close).

Thanks in advance, im very keen to continue work on this!

Hello Jimmy,

Let's deal with one problem at a time. First the 500 error, I need you to check with your hosting provider what the real error is in the server log, without the real error we have no clue why the server is throwing a fit.

As for the items not being unpublished, which item am I looking for?
Kind regards,

RolandD

Hi Roland,

Ye sorry was trying to give you a heads up as such, just desperate to get this working finally, thanks for your help again!

The import is actually failing:

COM_CSVI_PROCESS_TEMPLATE_NAME
COM_CSVI_RECORDS_PROCESSED
COM_CSVI_LAST_SERVER_RESPONSE
COM_CSVI_MAX_IMPORT_TIME_PASSED

COM_CSVI_ERROR_DURING_PROCESS

Status error: 500
Status message: Internal Server Error
Internal Server Error

The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request.

Please contact the server administrator, and inform them of the time the error occurred, and anything you might have done that may have caused the error.

More information about this error may be available in the server error log.

Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

Also my client has said many times that unpublished items are not being published when updated in the CSV.

Log is attached, thanks again!

Hello,

Just saying "it doesn't work" is not giving me anything to work with. Post the debug log of your import and I can check. Make sure you have set and saved the new template setting.
Kind regards,

RolandD

Hello Jimmy,

Attached is a patch file you can load and this adds a new feature to the K2 Item import template.

After loading the patch file you have to take the following steps
  1. Go to Components -> CSVI Pro
  2. In the menu choose Maintenance -> Tasks
  3. Click Reset Tasks and confirm
Now you can edit your import template and you should see an Options tab with 1 option. Set this option to process empty fields to Yes and after running the import, your fields that are empty in the CSV file will be emptied in the database as well.

Hello Jimmy,

as I say this issue has been ongoing for quite some time now
Well yes, as I stated in my previous comment, empty fields are not being processed because they are empty.

I am going to work out a patch and post that here once it is ready.
Kind regards,

RolandD

Hi, Thanks for your help, I tried to add the " " in fields that are empty. It doesn't work im afraid.

This is a live site and a popular one, this property has been showing incorrect rooms for over a week now, my client isn't happy about this, but im trying to work out the issue. So your help asap would be much appreciated.

The room was then updated and all data for the fields above removed (you can still see that the /import/lfs-import.csv file now has no data for these fields for PropertyID:1RL) the import has been run but the data in these k2 fields still remains (hasn't been updated).

This sentence is confusing but after reading it 5 times I think you are saying the data is removed in the CSV file and as such would expect it to be removed on import, correct?

About my confusing sentence and the issue here, to clarify, yes the data for some extra fields isn't being updated correctly from the CSV, the property 1RL on a previous import had data for certain fields which updated fine, but on the most recent import the data for these certain fields has been removed on the CSV (or after your last post I also tried " ";) but the within k2 item the data from the first import still exists (the fields are not blank or " ";)

Your help would be very much appreciated asap, as I say this issue has been ongoing for quite some time now, I want to be able to tell my client is definetly finally fixed. Many thanks!

Hello Jimmy,

My client has complained of this issue several times now
Let's get it fixed once and for all.

So the property http://....co.uk/flatshare/177-greenwich-north-se10-0nz-1rl is an existing property as I can see an update is being run.

The room was then updated and all data for the fields above removed (you can still see that the /import/lfs-import.csv file now has no data for these fields for PropertyID:1RL)
Unfortunately I can't see that because the query only contains IDs and not the field names associated to which ID. However I will take your word for it that they are not updated.

From what I see this field is not processed because it is empty in the file. I would say instead of leaving the field empty and put in a space so your CSV file has " " as field, it should empty the fields.

Let me know how it goes.
Kind regards,

RolandD

Hi Roland,

I did explain in a earlier post but yes perhaps not properly/with enough detail, sorry about that and thanks again for your help!

This property/k2 item fields haven't been updated correctly (item 177):
http://....co.uk/flatshare/177-greenwich-north-se10-0nz-1rl

This item was first added using the CSVi import and CSV import file, with data for the following fields:
- Room1ID
- Room1No
- Room1Description
- Room1DateAvailable
- Room1Price
- Room1Occupants

The room was then updated and all data for the fields above removed (you can still see that the /import/lfs-import.csv file now has no data for these fields for PropertyID:1RL) the import has been run but the data in these k2 fields still remains (hasn't been updated).

My client has complained of this issue several times now, and is also saying there is a similar issue with fields not updating when a k2 item is set to unpublished and then published.

I hope that explains everything properly, many thanks again for your help!

Hello Jimmy,

You gave no indication at all what I should be looking for as I requested. So here is a random check, I found it does do an update
UPDATE `__jos_k2_items` SET `title`='Greenwich North SE10 0NZ 1RL
. So why do you think it is not doing an update?
Kind regards,

RolandD

Hello Jimmy,
Your debug log is missing in the post. If the file is too big, try to compress and post it.

Hello Jimmy,

If you can post me the debug log there is something for me to look at, now there is nothing to see. Please give me a clear example what I am looking for.
