Hi Roland

Using:
CSVi Pro 5.20
VirtueMart 3.0.6

Trying to import and store on own server remote images

For example:

External image held at http://officeneedsdirect.opnet.co.uk/Images/252/129705.jpg

Want to store in default VM folder myserver........images/stories/virtuemart/category/

Found a tutorial for VM2 about image imports and it mentions this is possible by setting "Save images on server" flag to yes on import template which i have done. Then specified "File location category images" to http://officeneedsdirect.opnet.co.uk/Images/252/ and file_url in template to 129705.jpg

It returns error message stating no file exists.

Have i got this right or is there a tutorial to store remote images on your own server?

Kind regards

Tim

Hello Tim,

You should set the File location category images to the proposed file location. If what I see is correct then your filename is incomplete. The image filename must start with http or https. Do you have that in your file?
Kind regards,

Hi Roland

Yes i do, sorry should have included.

I have attached screenshots of my setting, import result and debug log for your info. Not sure it matters but notice import result appears to drop one of the / from http://

Kind regards

Tim

Tim,

You have set the Path incorrect in your template. Use the Suggested path not the path on the remote server. That should fix your import.
Kind regards,
