Hi,
If I import related categories, they end up as related products. So there is a mixup with the `virtuemart_customfield_id` in table virtuemart_product_customfields.
Instead of having value 2, it states 1.
And 1 stands for related products custom field and 2 stands for related categories.
So during the import incorrect value is assigned to virtuemart_customfield_id.

I found the older post mentioning:
"Found the problem, the virtuemart_vendor_id in your #__virtuemart_custom table is 1 for both related products and related categories but it has be 0. I am not sure how it has been changed but 0 is the value inserted when you install VirtueMart. Can you change this virtuemart_vendor_id value to 0 for both related products and related categories and then do the import"

Will try the next time.

Hello,

Correct, the vendor_id should be set to 0. I just checked the current version of VirtueMart and when you install that, the vendor_id is set to 0 for these fields. I wonder how you managed to get a different vendor_id, do you have any idea?
Kind regards,

RolandD

The only thing I can think of is that the origin of this installation is VM 1 and migrated to VM3. Perhaps still some old stuff!
