Resolved Import VM Orders - empty fields

Apparently there is a CSVI VirtueMart Handbook! (http://www.csvimproved.com/en/forum?view=topic&catid=44&id=32210) I've been reading the forum for days, trying things, learning ... and am now only marginally the wiser. Very frustrating not finding answers. I think I really need a Handbook.

I'm having trouble with migrating orders - Order dates, name & email don't seem to be present after importing, but are present in the csv file. Apart from that, the orders are importing. I had previously figured out how to import users. Only took me all day!

So many questions ... but maybe if there is a handbook, then it would be good to read that. Can you send it to me please? But I've included the debug log, and the import csv file, since you seem to require it, but I don't think I need you to solve this. I just need some info on how to migrate orders.

from: J2.5.16 (vm 2.6.17)
to: J3.4.1 (vm 3.0.8)
csvi: 5.21.2

Hello Anthony,

Very frustrating not finding answers.
Feel free to ask question.

I had previously figured out how to import users. Only took me all day!
There is a tutorial for that Import VirtueMart 2 users.

I will send you the handbook but keep in mind it was written 4 years ago ;) A majority of the logic still applies, so it might help.

As for the order import I am writing a new article since it changed a little in CSVI 6 and it should make the process easier. Your CSV file has 53 fields, that is a bit much. Check page 118 and further for the order import. Will send it right after this message.

Thanks! That's a handy doc. I *think* I'm getting the hang of it now. Winning.

An "Ahaha!" moment when I finally understood that not all fields need to happen at once, and better understanding of the import logic.
I had previously been deleting users & orders after each import attempt & didn't understand why other threads and tutorials talked about only a few fields, when I wanted them all.

I'll post if I get any difficult problems.
