I'm trying to import some users and have the Joomla new user email still be sent. When importing the user imports perfectly, but no new user email is sent.

If I create a user manually the new user email is sent.

Is there a way I can force the emails to be sent out on import?

Hello,
I'm trying to import some users and have the Joomla new user email still be sent. When importing the user imports perfectly, but no new user email is sent.

Emails are not sent because we don't have the option of sending emails with import.

If I create a user manually the new user email is sent.

When you create a user manually, you are creating one user which means it is one email which is sent. But with Import, if a user imports few hundreds or few thousands of records then bulk emails should be sent out. This is not supported on all servers or it is possible that server hits its email limits.

Is there a way I can force the emails to be sent out on import?

If your server supports bulk email sending, you can write custom code to send emails in import file and set it as override for import.
Kind regards,

Tharuna

Thanks for the reply. It's a bit disappointing though - I get your point about email limited but there are ways to manage that.

Will see what I can work out.
