Hello,
I can't export the shoppers and all sort of users from web in Joomla 1.5.26 and VM 1.1.9 I order to export them to the new web with joomla3 &VM3.. I try but the csv file is empty. I have created a new template from the table "user info export" and I selected all fields availables, then I export that. But it shows me only the name of fields, not the data of fields.

Curiously I have in Joomla3&VM3 the name, username and e-mail of all contacts. But not the billing address, the shipment address and the ID user. I supose the data of users I have are thanks a Joomla migration or another exports that I did. But after Joomla migration, I used only with csvI the category detaills export, category export and products exports. Nothing about users...

How I can export the information of shoppers and users that now is empty?
I'm afraid to confused the "Joomla User" with the "Virtuemart user." I think both are linked in someway but I don't know if can be a problem about that. Maybe have only the users imformation from Joomla but not from Virtuemart.

I can't send you a debug information because the csv file that I import is empty and I not try to export it.

Excuse one more time my English and thanks for your help.

Kind regards

No use importing an empty file, however you do an export on the 1.5 site, so you will have a debug log of your export. That we need to check since your export file is empty.

They are one and the same. The basic info is in Joomla, the rest is in VirtueMart. They are linked by Joomla ID but you are supposed to use the email address as this must be unique for each user.
Kind regards,

Hello,

Some of the fields are protected MySQL names, if you remove the field called default, the export should run.
Kind regards,

Hello,

The field cdate is present in more than 1 table, so MySQL doesn't know what to do with it. You can remove that field as well.
Kind regards,

Hello Roland,
I must not include other fields on the import from VirtueMart1 and then the csv file is not empty. I must change some namefields in order then will be the same than VirtueMart3. But maybe some association names is not correct, I'm not sure. I can export information but not all and they are some errors. I adoint a debug log and an image with the fields I used. I hope this help you to understand better me :)
They are one field specially important for me "vm_nif". I not find it in Virtuemart3 fields. This field is required in Spain, is a number to identification people or companys. In England is named VAT number and in France TVA number). This field is not exported now and I must it. Country and State are not exported neigther. I can't see if the password are exported.

Thanks for your help
Kind regards and nice week-end

Hello,

This is not a standard VirtueMart field. However if it shows up in your list of available fields you can export it. Now to get this into VirtueMart 3 you will have to figure out how you can enter that there. Either abuse an existing field you don't use for anything or find out how to add custom fields to shoppers. After that will need to figure out how to get it in there.

Country and State are not exported neigther.
What is in these fields then?

I can't see if the password are exported.
I don't remember if this field is exported on Joomla 1 as I actually don't provide support for Joomla 1 anymore. It really has been too long ago to remember the exact details. The password is being import though looking at your debug log.
Kind regards,

RolandD

Hello,
I solved the vm_nif field. I created a new fil in Virtuemart 3 and it runs nice. :)
Now I have the problem with Country and States. In Virtuemart 3 they are a Spain in a list of counties and also a list of States into Spain. But I can't import this data.
In the available export fields of CSVI to Virtuemart 1 I find the fields "Country" and "States" but not the fields "virtuemart_country_id" and "virtuemart_state_id".
In the available import fields to VM3 I find country and state, and also "state_2_code".
I try to link country(VM1) changing the name to country_name(VM3), and also country(VM1) changing the name to virtuemart_country_id(VM3). And also State(VM1) changing the name to state_name(VM3), and state(VM1) changing the name to state_2_code(VM3)... But I can't import to VirtueMart3 country and States. The list are empty in a information of shoppers.
About the password, I think they are not export to Virtuemart3 because I try to enter and does not recognize the password
How I can do to export Country, State and Password? Thanks for your help

Hello,

but not the fields "virtuemart_country_id" and "virtuemart_state_id".
You should not be using these fields. You should use the country_name and state_name field. So country becomes country_name and state becomes state_name.

As for the password, you need to use the password_crypt field because you are importing an encrypted password.
Kind regards,

RolandD

Hello,
I find the solution I think. I rename the field "country" to "virtuemart_country_id". And in a csv file I replace "ESP" to "195" (The virtuemart_country_id in Virtuemart 3). Then the countries appears and the states are updated.
I hope this can help somebody with the same problem!
Kind regards!

Hello,

That works if your country code is 195. If the country is ESP you can use the country field but do a replacement on import where ESP is translated into Spain. That would work as wel.

Thank you for reporting your solution.
Kind regards,

RolandD
