Hello,
I have a web migrated from Joomla 1.5.26 and VM 1.1.9 to Joomla 3.4.4 and VM 3.0.10. Now the new web with Joomla 3.4.4 is off-line and I work still with the old web. I'm working some months to arrange all in a new web and now I will need to import the last users registered in the old web to the new web. (A part of users are imported, but I need import the last users)

I have some questions:
Is the same thing the Joomla Users than the virtuemart Users?
I tried to export-import the users but without succes. I don't know if I must use the template "Joomla users -> user import" or "VirtueMart -> user info import"

Thanks and knd regards

Hello,

it should work with the country field. This takes the full country name not just the 3-letter code. So in your case that would be Spain.
Kind regards,

RolandD

Hello,
Excuse me. I ask the same some months ago and I self find a solution:
Hello,
I find the solution I think. I rename the field "country" to "virtuemart_country_id". And in a csv file I replace "ESP" to "195" (The virtuemart_country_id in Virtuemart 3). Then the countries appears and the states are updated.
I hope this can help somebody with the same problem!
Kind regards!

I will try like this again. (I must to repeat it because I restore a backup yesterday and I don't remember the solution)
Thanks and kind regards

Hello,
No debug log found
Maybe this message can help us. (But I try also to import it with the field names: country and state and no import these fields)

These fields have been found but are not supported by CSVI:
country_name
state_name

Hello Roland,
Finally I prefer not import the orders. I revise the user importation and I see a problem. I can't import the field State and Country. These fields are empty after the importation and appears the selector to choose state and country. I try with the field names: country and state and also with country_name and state_name. The rest of fields are imported right.
I export with csvi from Joomla 1.5.26 with VM 1.1.9 to Joomla 3.4.4 and VM 3.0.10
Exemple (I not procese the field named "Id";):
^id^~^email^~^address_type^~^address_type_name^~^first_name^~^middle_name^~^last_name^~^address_1^~^city^~^country_name^~^state_name^~^zip^~^password^~^usergroup_name^~^vm_nif^~^username^

Or
^id^~^email^~^address_type^~^address_type_name^~^first_name^~^middle_name^~^last_name^~^address_1^~^city^~^country^~^state^~^zip^~^password^~^usergroup_name^~^vm_nif^~^username^

I adjoint the image with the result.

Thanks and kind regards

Hello,

In your export template configure the price settings to use whichever decimal separator you want to use. In 1.5 by default it isn't set, so you get prices like that.
Kind regards,

RolandD

Hello,
Thanks for your speed answer. Sorry, I can't find any field named "something_check" in a CSVI old to use as equivalent name to "payment_element" in CSVI 6 PRO. (But in a csv file it seems that "payment_method_name" runs, the payment method name appears right like this: Tarjeta de Crédito / Credit Car or PayPal or Transferencia bancaria / Bank Transfer)
I revise all again and I see another problem. In the amount of order the decimals position is wrong. For exemple it writes 9896,00 € and the right amount must be 98,96 €. I'm not sure if the problem is to importation or is of VirtueMart configuration
Thanks and kind regards!

Hello,

1. In that case you have the wrong field or value for the order status. The field is order_status
2. Do you get that in CSVI or in VirtueMart?

How I can delete them?
An issue with VirtueMart perhaps? Perhaps you can delete them by doing a few at a time. Otherwise you can empty the database tables virtuemart_orders, virtuemart_order_items, virtuemart_order_histories and virtuemart_order_userinfos.
Kind regards,

RolandD

Hello,
Sorry, is VM 1.1.9 :-). About the "payement_element" I thinked the equivalent name in CSVI of VM 1.1.9 was "payment_method_name" because in a tutorial describe this field as "the name of the payment method". Now, I will search the other name field.
I try the import the orders because with the Analize seem ok, and really the import almost runs! But after do it I see two problems.
1- The status order is no imported right. All orders are "Pendiente" (Pending).
2- Appears an alert like this: (Also I adjoint an image)
"A script on this page may be busy, or may have stopped responding. You can stop the script now, open it in the debugger, or let it continue its execution.
Script: http://www.mydomine.es/subdomine/media/jui/js/jquery.min.js:4"

I try to delete all orders but I can't because the page returns back after I click on "Delete" and no delete the orders.
I wish delete the orders to study better the problem and will try again to import them. How I can delete them?

Thanks and kind regards

Hello,

I do not remember all the fields from VM 1.1.9 (1.9.9 doesn't exist ;) ) exactly either, so it is some guesswork. You will need to run your imports on a test system to be sure all is OK.

You have read this Import orders tutorial I assume.

The payment_method_name is not the same as the payment_element I think. The name could be something like Pay by check while the payment_element name is something like check

The order_item_currency is not needed as far as I can see.

The order_item_id is not needed because you are only importing the orders, not the items. That is another import.

But if this process is risky, maybe is better no import the orders. I know then I will lost the statistics, but...
As long as you work on a test system, you can do what you like. Perhaps it might be easier to make a test site with your J1.5 and VM 1. Update the site to J2.5 with VM 2 and then update to J3 with VM 3. It doesn't really matter how the site looks like but VM should have migrated your data to the correct table structure of VM3 and then you can take the order tables from the J3 test site and put them in your real site. Just another idea.
Kind regards,

RolandD

Hello,
Thanks. Finally I can do it. I changed the field name in old CSVI: "usertype" to "usergroup_name". Now I have a doubt. If it's possible import the orders from CSVI old (Joomla 1.5.26) to export to Joomla 3 & VM 3, I wish do it. But if this process is risky, maybe is better no import the orders. I know then I will lost the statistics, but...
I read a tutorial with information about the process to import export the orders, but I adjoint a image with some questions because the field names have changed beetween old web and new web. I think the fields in CSVI from Jommla 1.5.26 & VM 1.9.9 "order_item_currency" and "order_item_id" are not necessary and they are not equivalent to any CSVI6 fields. Please, see the image to understand better. Excese my English.
Thanks and Kind regards!

Hello,

But in a CSVI from Joomla 1.5.26
That is an ancient unsupported version :)

I can't find a flie named "usergroup_name" in CSVI from J1.5 & VM 1.9.9.
If it is not available for export, you will need to add the field to your file before you run the import or add the field to your template with a default value.
Kind regards,

RolandD

Hello,
I suppose it :-) But in a CSVI from Joomla 1.5.26 I have only a template named "CSVI User info export" and I'm not sure if that is from Joomla users or from VM users. Excuse me. Now I see that it is from VM users. But I have a problem. I can't find a flie named "usergroup_name" in CSVI from J1.5 & VM 1.9.9. The "usergroup_name" is a required file and I don't know how do the export without this field. (I find only this field "Shopper_group_name".)

Thanks and Kind regards

Hello,

Is the same thing the Joomla Users than the virtuemart Users?
They are not the same thing, I don't have so much time left over that I build the same thing and give it two different names :) The difference is that the Joomla Users only import Joomla user data and the VirtueMart users import the VirtueMart user info and create the Joomla users.

Sounds like you will need to use the VirtueMart Users so you get the users both in VirtueMart and Joomla. Have a look at the documentation Import VirtueMart users for how to import VirtueMart users.
Kind regards,

RolandD
