Resolved import tax rate

Hello Pas,
If you are looking at updating only product_tax_id for a product then you can use product_sku, product_tax_id and product_price fields in your import provided the tax rule has been already created in VirtueMart. If you are looking at creating calc rules at the time of import then you need to use product_sku, product_tax and product_price fields in your import. Let me know if it helps.

Did try it with these settings, but this added a new price to my products?
Will this not happen when using just product_sku, product_tax_id and product_price?

Can you post your import debug log and sample import file to check? That will help me to find why new price was added. Check How to get debug information? document to get the debug log.

Thank you for posting the debug log and that tells why your prices were added. The fields i mentioned above were for VirtueMart Product import but i see you are doing VirtueMart Price import. There are few required fields for CSVI to find the matching price when running VirtueMart price import operation and that is because a product can have multiple prices and it is important to update only the specific price. These required fields are explained in VirtueMart Price import document. Since these fields were missing in your import file a new price has been added. In your import file add these required fields along with product_tax_id and run the import.
