Hi, I'm having trouble to import Virtuemart products from a website using VM2 -- CSVI Free to a website using VM3 CSVI Pro 7.3.0

Joomla! 3.8.2 and VirtueMart 3.2.6

I've attached export file that I'm using and debug log export1.csv com_csvi.log.167.zip

Preview at import says that import only contains only 2 lines

Template configuration

Autodetect limiters: no
field delimiter: ;
Text enclosure: "
I'm Mac: no
Use file for configuration: Yes
Skip first line: no
Record name: empty

Options

Custom table: virtuemart_products_es_es
Import based on product_name

Please, advise. Thanks!

Hello,
Preview at import says that import only contains only 2 lines

Thats correct, the export file which you are using for import has only two lines and so preview shows that. Other thing i noticed with your file is the invisible 3-characters at the beginning which says your file is UTF-8Y and not UTF-8 encoded. You have to first save your file as a normal UTF-8 file to run the import.

Options

Custom table: virtuemart_products_es_es
Import based on product_name

You need to use VirtueMart product import operation instead of Custom table import to import product details into VirtueMart. Have a look at VirtueMart product import document to know on import settings.
Kind regards,

Tharuna

Hi tharuna, thank you so much for your help. Now it is working better now. I'm still having trouble with product name field. I'm getting this error

"These fields have been found but are not supported by CSVI:

"product_name"

Either these fields do not exist in your system, or the list of available fields need to be updated. Update the list to ensure you have all fields available"

I've updated the fields but the problem remains

com_csvi.log.174.zip export5.csv

Hello,
As i mentioned in my previous post your file has weird characters before product_name field which is because of the file is saved as a UTF-8Y file instead of UTF-8. You have to first save your file as a normal UTF-8 file before doing the import. Check Save CSV file as UTF-8 document for more details.
Kind regards,

Tharuna
