Hello,
Im trying to import product types for cherrypicker. For example i would like to add the following;
product_type_name,$,parameter_name,$,parameter_label,$,kleur
The above line is a part of the header (sku is also included) Now iam looking for a way to add these fields in to the import template but even when i updated the available fields, these are not available.
Iam sure iam missing something but the documentation about adding product types for cherrypicker is a bit tiny. Could you explain me how to do this or help me started? i checked product-types-import-tutorial allready but it seems iam missing something.
Best regards, M

Hello,
I managed to get CSVI 6 beta 5 out the door yesterday. This is now available from the Downloads and you can also download the FastSeller addon to get started with FastSeller.

Hello,
CSVI 6 is available from the Download section just where you get all other downloads. However CSVI 6 with Fastseller support is not yet up for download due to sickness on my part. However I can send you the package if you are interested, let me know and I will do so. Otherwise the download will be made available later this week.
Running the import via a cron job is no problem as it will be a regular import like any other.

I also have cherry picker, fastseller, installed on J3.x vm3 and am trying to get product types to work. I don't see any place to get CSVI6 to try it out.
In the end though I want to automate the import of products and product types through a cron job as the data will be automatically created for CSVI to process.

Any suggestion when this (beta) is ready? 2015, 2016?Last week

I have just re-read this thread again and something caught my eye.
Because i now created all product types and names by hand in fastseller so these tables exists somewhere. Just needed to import the values. This information exists in the fastseller tables and not in the vm_product_type tables. That is why you will need to run all 3 product type imports via CSVI if you want to use the vm_product_type tables. The question is if you still want to go this route or give the FastSeller implementation of CSVI 6 a go.
Kind regards,
RolandD

This is going to change in CSVI 6, where product types as such won't be supported anymore but simply FastSeller will be supported
That would be the perfect solution. Any suggestion when this (beta) is ready? 2015, 2016?
Let's focus on the first import. The product type import. How does your import file look like for that?
That would be something like this:
PRODUCT_SKU,PRODUCT_TYPE_NAME,PRODUCT_TYPE_PUBLISH,PARAMETER_NAME,PARAMETER_LABEL
Only these fields are not available at the import template. So i can not upload them.

Lot of custom things need to be done right? If you want to use Product Types, which is a feature of VirtueMart 1, it is usually a manual table creation unless you already have the tables. Installing a VirtueMart 2 or 3 version, won't give you these tables. This is going to change in CSVI 6, where product types as such won't be supported anymore but simply FastSeller will be supported, then you don't have to create those tables anymore either.
I just can not import product types, names and parameters because these fields can't be added to a import template.Let's focus on the first import. The product type import. How does your import file look like for that?
Kind regards,

Okee. Seems i now have the tables in mysql database. Still in CSVI import template i can not add fields according product types. So what happens here is that i buyed the system but its not working. Lot of custom things need to be done right? I now tried a lot to fix this but it seems i can't. You always respond to my questions so thats a good thing but its not enough to get me up and running. I just can not import product types, names and parameters because these fields can't be added to a import template.

If i created this tables by hand in phpmyadmin, i think that thi swont work with fastseller and cherrypicker. Iam i right or should it work?It should work if you are using the Cherry Picker for Virtuemart using Product Types version from Galt.

Aa okee, Now before i created this tables. I was thinking that csvi was importing values for the tables from fastseller to make use of the cherrypicker. Because i now created all product types and names by hand in fastseller so these tables exists somewhere. Just needed to import the values. Asked Galt also some questions but he refers to csvi support.Iam now a bit stuck with importing values for cherrypicker. Thanks in advance.

Hello,
It has been a while since someone asked about using this but I kind of recall this had to happen last time as well. Yes it is normal because most people are not using VM1 anymore, so the tables no longer exist by default. I am planning to take a closer look as well, perhaps improve the instructions if this is really needed.

Hello,
To create the tables manually, you need these 3 statements if I remember correctly.

Hello,
The VM Cherry Picker addon for CSVI Pro is of no use in CSVI 5, this is an addon for CSVI 6 Pro beta. I assume you are not using CSVI 6 Pro beta, in that case you can uninstall the plugin.
