Resolved Import multiple category & subcategory

Hello Davide,

Only images of lower-level subcategories have been imported, the higher levels of the categories do not have pictures.

The import has worked correct. The image is imported to the category you are creating, here cat1, cat2, cat3 and cat4 are each different categories and you are importing category_path like cat1/cat2/cat3/cat4 which says cat1, cat2 and cat3 are parent of cat4 and the details in the import file row are for cat4, so the image is only considered for the category cat4. If you need to import image for cat3, you need to have a new row in import file for cat1/cat2/cat3 with its own details.

Only descriptions of the lower-level subcategories have been imported, the higher levels of the categories do not have description.

It works the same way as above. If you need to import description for each category, add it as a new line in the import file.

On your template settings on options tab the category separator is set to | but it should be /. Change it and try the import again. Let me know how it goes.

Your template settings looks good. Can you also post your template? i will test it here with your import file. To get the template XML file, Go to CSVI maintenance menu, select CSVI Pro in the first option, Backup templates in the second option. Select the templates you need and click on continue. Your templates will be stored on your server in the form of an XML file. The path will be shown after backup is done. Please post the XML file here.

Did you try the solution i posted? It didnt work? Can you send some screenshots of how you set the combine rule and your template fields?

I have tried several solutions, but I can not reach my goal.
Without editing the .CSV file, can I import the categories and subcategories as in the image (multicategory.jpg)?

I have a .csv file that has the following fields:
cat1 = 1st level (category)
cat2 = 2nd level (sub-category)
cat3 = 3rd level (sub-sub-category)
cat4 = 4th level (sub-sub-sub-category)

You can do this using combine rule, In your template fields set the Cat1 to category_path field and others cat2, cat3, cat4 as combine fields.

It's possible to create a template, rule, or else to import products and subcategories without changing the .csv?

Create a combine rule for import with source fields as category_path,combine,combine,combine, target field as category_path, combine character as /. Set the rule to category_path field in your template fields and then try doing the import. If you have set your template fields as above you should be seeing category_path field as cat1/cat2/cat3/cat4 in import preview. Try it and let me know how it goes.
