Resolved Import multi variant products

After some new tests, I found a possible reason. CSVI has big problems with german special characters, like ö or ß in the word for size (Größe) when used as a parameter for multi variant products. If I take the english words, my tests work fine.

My problem is, I need the german words for a german website.

Let's handle the different issues one at a time.

But I did not find any new fields with Size and Color.

That is because they are of a special type. You seem to have mixed up a few things. Looking at your screenshot, you are using Multi-Variants.

In your CSV file you say to CSVI, the name of my custom field is Multi Variant but in your list of custom fields I don't see this custom field at all.

Further you tell CSVI that you want to use one ramification called Color but I don't see the color column in your CSV file.

Without a debug log I can't say much but there shouldn't be an issue with UTF-8 characters.

PS With the full parent file and german words for Size and Color (Größe / Farbe) a got a system crash, because csvi copied the system on and on in the temp directory.

This can happen for two different reasons. The tmp path in the Joomla configuration is not set to the full path or if the template has not been saved twice and because of that the source details are not stored correctly.
