Resolved import field question

Hello,

The file that I had import have ( " ) in there rows like this for example:

0010068191 8434264004757 Camiseta "non hai ferramenta para.." chocolate home xl "non hai ferram 19,95 GLG "NON HAI MALA FERRAMENTA PARA O BO TRABALLADOR REIZENTOLO http://imagenes.serlogal.com/imagenes_big/8434264/843426400475.JPG 10 3 Merchandising Merchandising > REIZENTOLO 21,00

like you can see in the part of the text "NON HAI MALA FERRAMENTA PARA O BO TRABALLADOR there is not finall (";)
and the next line have it

In the template configuration I have in file--> Text Enclosure --> "

The problem is that when This happend; after the import the products that are in the next line of a product that don´t have close the (";), that products create wrong.

My Question is, in the TEXT ENCLAUSURE of my import template, I can delete (";) and get it blank to solve this problem?

Hello,

If you specify no text enclosure, PHP will use the " by default. Although I have to say I haven't tried leaving it empty and import a file like yours. You could try with 1 product and see if it works for you. I don't understand your data though, where does one field start and the next end.

By the CSV standard if you have " in your text you should enclose the fields as well. A sentence would look like this:
123,"this is ""some"" code"
now CSV readers know that the word is "some".

Hi Rolandd

I have import with the Text Enclosure in blank an take by default " like you said.

The problem is taht the archive that we import it can´t be change or fix that products, so What solution can you give to me for that cases???

THE LINES between are the rong products are between lines 64700 and 64900 if you dont want to import o review all the file.

So I had a look and if I set the Auto-detect delimiters to Yes, your file looks fine in the preview, no problems there. Did you try that?
