Resolved Import custom field list

Thank you for reporting back your solution.

So for anybody importing select lists, import the VALUES and not the TEXT!

I am importing select list TEXT and not Value.

Will try VALUE.

In your import file for selectdesknumber, are you importing Select list Value or Text? For setting 001 text you should have 99.538.154.584 for selectdesknumber. Are you doing this? Can you post your import file to check?

Hi, I think I need to explain this better.

I have a custom field in Joomla content (LIST)

Each Joomla article has this desk list available. So each article has a desk number.

Obviously I need to import the desk number in to the custom field from the CSV.

I have updated the "Available Fields" under "Maintenance" and added the custom field to my Import template.

Everything is in place, I start the import, select the CSV file, view the preview which looks great and start import. No errors.

Now when I go to an article there has been no value imported. This only happens with lists.
Text fields are working fine.

Please note I am important the TEXT of the list and not the VALUE.

Any insight would be great!

You should be seeing the select list fields too. If you do not see the field, try updating available fields. If you are still having a problem, post screenshot on how you have the custom field set up to check.

Thanks I have done, but it only shows importing in to a text field and not a list (select)
