Hi, I'm trying to import pdf-files as attachments to products. I can get the filenames in the table wfi3p_virtuemart_product_attachements, but I cannot seem to figure out how to set the virtuemart_product_id in this table, so I cannot get the attachment shown with the product. I don't have an available field for the column virtuemart_product_id in this table; can someone please point me in the right direction???

Hello Nelia,
It looks like you are using an external plugin for product attachments which is not supported by CSVI. As you mentioned the table wfi3p_virtuemart_product_attachements is related to the plugin you have used and CSVI doesn't know how to handle this.
Kind regards,

Tharuna

Hi Tharuna, Thank you so much for your response. And yes, you are right. The table belongs to a plugin. So if that is not supported by CSVI, I will have to find another solution. As I am new to virtuemart maybe I may be overlooking the obvious, but I cannot seem to figure out how I can add pdf files with additional information to products. The plugin I was using allows me to do that by hand, but with the large number of products and attachments I want to be able to import them... is there another way to do this, using CSVI or otherwise?

Hello Nelia,
Can you give us more information on what you are trying to acheive? Probably a sample file with details you want to import. Just to let you know, If you import a PDF file as media item in basic virtuemart it will be available as a link on the frontend for a product. With your information we can check if basic Virtuemart and CSVI can help you here.
Kind regards,

Tharuna

Hi, thank you again for your quick answer. I am trying to set up a webshop with a lot of products. For most of those products there is additional information which I would like to present in a PDF-file that customers can download. So I am looking for a way to import all product data, including these pdf-files, so that I won't need to put these in by hand. So you say "as media item in basic virtuemart"? ... if I select "Import > Virtuemart > Medias" on my import-template, I can get one result in the table virtuemart_medias but no idea how to connect this pdf to a product. (feel very stupid, this should probably be easy...)

Hello Nelia,
I can get one result in the table virtuemart_medias but no idea how to connect this pdf to a product.

Yes that is correct and this media id will be connected to the product with product_id in Virtuemart_product_medias table, but your log shows there is no entry into that table. This could be because of the CSVI version you are using, Please try upgrading to CSVI Pro 6.4.3, there has been an fix for Virtuemart media import in this version.
Kind regards,

Tharuna
