Resolved images with watermark and thumbnail creation

If you apply the watermark, it should only be applied to the main image. On import the main image is processed first, the thumbnail is created from the main image and after that the watermark is applied on the main image. However if you run a second import using the main image that previously had a watermark applied, you get a thumbnail with watermark.

The solution here is to use a URL for the image and set the option Save on server to Yes. This way you have a folder with original images and on import a copy is made of the original image and the thumbnail and watermark are using that copy.

It is as you described!
To uploading images from the server, I need to put in my XML the full image URL and in my case it is not easy to do.

Maybe you could, in a future csvi upgrade add “remote server url” to template setup, as you already have “server credentials”

If you want, you also could add manufacturer logo image insert “like watermark” but taking the manufacturer logo from manufacturer thumb image. (yes, we already could do this by running a second template by each manufacturer; buy it is not doable when you have many.)

I mean in watermark Setup add a new setting for manufacturer logo that the user can chose from no use at all or use only image based watermark (already implemented), logo based manufacturer or both (to be implemented)!

Yes, in watermark setting we will add an option to set Manufacturer as a source and so manufacturer logo will be used as watermark image. This feature has been added to our todo list and will be included to our future release.
