I am migrating a webshop from Magento to Virtuemart and I have imported all users with MD5 Hashed passwords from the Magento database.
Unfortunately they do not seem to work. Is there a way to get them to work? Or does it only work with passwords that were created by Joomla?

If yes, could you add this as a note in the "Available fields for Virtuemart" documentation?

Cheers

Hello Roderic,
In that case passwords are not compatible between these two systems. There is nothing we can do about it.
Kind regards,

Joomla has a pattern to hash passwords and it is not the same as Magento. That is the reason password did not work. You can import non hash password and RO CSVI will hash it in Joomla way on import.
