Hi Roland, Long time no speak!

Currently, I have several sites with csvi (old version) all importing supplier data from google sheets.

Each supplier has it's own sheet and the templates are setup with a custom field added to add the supplier id. So at the moment we run each sheet when we update the suppliers data and each site has a mapped supplier ID for each import.

What I want to do for scalability is have one central import file which will have multiple suppliers on.

Is there a way for each site I can setup a find and replace on import (for the supplier id) so that the products gets correctly assigned to the correct suppliers?

I hope that made sense!

Hello,
Is there a way for each site I can setup a find and replace on import (for the supplier id) so that the products gets correctly assigned to the correct suppliers?

Just to clarify again, Do you mean to say that each site has to identify its own supplier id and import only those records from the central import file you had mentioned?
Kind regards,

Tharuna

Hey Dave,

You are going to need some kind of indicator in your import file that tells you which supplier it is. Let's say you have a field called supplier, you would create a rule that copies the content of the supplier field to what is now your supplier ID field. A second rule would then do the find and replace on the value in the supplier ID field to replace the name with an ID.

I see it should be able to work something like that.
Kind regards,
