Resolved File (xls) to template: import a file to create a template?

I need to create a template with a lot of fields.
It would be possible to have a way to create a template on a file (xls) and Import it ?

Hello Roberto,

Hope all is well with you. We are still here :p

The steps you outline is correct. Your column titles do not have to be the same as your custom fields as you can map them in the fieldmapper. However I think it is easier for you to know which column is what if it has the same name :)

Hi Roland!! It is long time!!
Ok.. let me know if I've understood correctly:
1. I import all the custom fields
2. I take my importing file (That I think needs to have the same column titles as the custom fields) and I convert that in csv
3. I process the csv with the fieldmapper

It is correct?

Hello,

We have no XLS support yet in the fieldmapper but you can save your XLS file as CSV in your spreadsheet program and use that for the fieldmapper. This way you can create the template with the fields and for import you can use the XLS file.
