Hello again.

I am importing a csv file. The field name used is "description" I want this field to import to "introtext" (K2 field). I have edited the template field "introtext" so the file field name is description, yet I get an error on import

Unsupported Failure These fields have been found but are not supported by CSVI:

description

Is this not how this functions?

Hello,

This is indeed not how it functions. If you save that introtext field you will see your description is shown under the XML node column.

How it works is that you align the fields in your file with the fields in your template. For example if description is your 2nd field, introtext needs to be the second field in your template. You can quickly set the positions by putting in the order before the field. Make sure these numbers are sequential.

As an alternative for the mapping you can use the field mapper that is included in CSVI.
Kind regards,

RolandD

OK.. I followed the instructions.. I got an error when importing after mapping my template

Still not understanding : sorry.. I have added 2 images - the first is the template map (part of it) and the second is the failure.

Also - if there are several fields that K2 requires for the item to show front end.
Published needs to be set (1), Access needs to be set (1). Is there a way to have this set on the template as a default or does it need to be included on the csv file?
