Resolved Field order - skip rule plugin

Hello,

I have one technical question on how the skip plugin works. Does it matter on which position the template field with the skip rule is?

For example, Im importing a file with 20 template fields. One field has a skip rule plugin. Does in matter (on how fast the import is) if the template field is on position 2 or 20?

Hello,
No, the order of the field with rules does not matter with the speed of import. The process goes like this

1. Collect all template fields and its values from import file
2. Check for any rules applied on the fields for each row. It does not matter if the skip rule is on 2nd or 20th position. Rules are checked for each field and processed for the entire row.
3. Collect all manipulated data for that row.
4. Show on preview page or run the import.
