Hi,
i've problems importing FastSeller product type names.
This is the environment:
Joomla 3.8.2
PHP version 5.6.14-0+deb8u1
Database schema version 7.3.0
CSVI 7.3.0

I get a correct preview with correct number of lines in the imported file. Then, trying to import i get the screenshot and the log attached.
I have no error in the server log file.

Thanks in advance,
Nicola

Hello Nicola,
The error information in your error screenshot is incomplete to find on what is wrong with your import. Can you check Analyze documents and use one of them to check for any Javascript error in the console? Can you post the screenshot of it?
Kind regards,

Tharuna

Hello Nicola,
The rantai.php response says there is some error but don't know what. can you check your server logs and see if there is any log for this error?

You can also try running the import by turning on error reporting in Joomla under System -> Global Configuration -> Server -> Error Reporting -> Development and see if you get to see any information.

Also please check if there is any firewall extension which is blocking CSVI and whitelist it. Can you also check your htaccess file?
Kind regards,

Tharuna

No errors in the server's log file
No error showed with joomla set to development error reporting
Tryed the joomla original .htaccess file and tryed with no .htaccess file: same error and no log

Other import, categories & products (the biggest file, more than 4900 products), works very well, so I don't think it can be a firewall problem

Hello Nicola,

Looking at your log file it shows that your CSV file has a BOM. These lines tell me that:

2017-11-10 10:43:52 0 [DEBUG] Found text enclosure ï
2017-11-10 10:43:52 0 [DEBUG] Found field delimiter: »
2017-11-10 10:43:53 0 [DEBUG] Found text enclosure ï
2017-11-10 10:43:53 0 [DEBUG] Found field delimiter: »

I am not sure if you already cleaned your file because I don't see the BOM in the file you attached. That is something you can double check. To help with this, you can set the Auto-detect delimiters to No in your template and specify the field delimiter and text enclosure.

I don't think there is an issue with the server but rather with the file not being able to be read.
Kind regards,

RolandD

Thank you for you assistance but i couldn't solve the problem.
Tried with and without BOM, with or without Auto-detect delimiters but I had always the same result.
It seems strange to me that the file is not being able to be read, the preview show well formatted fields and exect number of rows, the debug log is stopped to a database query where the importer look for the ID of the 'gioello' type name... and 'gioiello' is read from the file.
What would be the next step for the importer? If can be helpful i can give you access to the backend of the site (you'll have to set hosts file to access to the website)
Best regards,
Nicola

Hello Nicola,
We found the cause for the error and have fixed it with the attached patch file. Please load the patch file and run the import again. See if your import goes good after that.
