Hello,
You'll find below a copy of our past discussion with Roland.
Basically the exported URL on my English export template is not the same as the one used on the front-end. It is then pointless to us at the moment. The French export works just fine.
You'll find attached a backup of my export templates as well as the problematic export log. Thanks for your help!
Bruno

Hi Roland,
And thanks for your feedback. Unfortunately, your solution is not working. I’ve created two export templates, one in French and the other in English.
The French one is still exporting well, but the English one “attached” still has the raw default Joomla article URLs exported and not the actual front-end ones.
Any solutions?
Thanks,
Bruno

Hello Bruno,
The export looks like you exported everything at once. In a multi-language site you cannot export mixed languages because CSVI doesn't know which language to use for the URL generation. In your template you can set the language you want to export on the Options tab. If you set this to English, your English URLs will be fine. The All language is barely used for multi-language sites. Do know that Joomla uses the All as a language represented by a * to link items that are not part of any specific language. So here it doesn't mean to export all languages but the actual All language.
Setup the language selection in your export template and all should be good.

Hi Roland,
I just purchased your plugin and tried an export, please find it attached.
It looks as if the plugin doesn’t handle multilanguage. The french (default site language) rows are exported perfectly well with the correct URLs linked to the menu item. So those are the URLs used on the front-end.
However the english rows URL are showing the default article URL with French code in the alias instead of the actual menu item URL which is used on the front-end.
Two examples pulled from the export:
Row 5: A consulting and trade representation office specialized in acoustics based near Lyon (France)
Exported URL: https://www.its-acoustique.fr/fr/52-colonne-gauche/liens-depuis-colonne-de-gauche/1242-a-consulting-and-trade-representation-office-specialized-in-acoustics-based-near-lyon-france.html
URL used on the site: https://www.its-acoustique.fr/en/a-consulting-and-trade-representation-office-specialized-in-acoustics-based-near-lyon-france.html
Row 9: Absorbing barrier
Exported URL: https://www.its-acoustique.fr/fr/38-en/n/thematiques-en-gb-3/557-absorbing-barrier.html
URL used on the site: https://www.its-acoustique.fr/en/acoustical-insulation-soundproofing/absorbing-barrier.html
Is there a setting I missed for english rows? Or is that a bug of the plugin?
Thanks for your help.

Hello Bruno,
To start off, you cannot export content data using the menu export. As you pointed out 3 out of 4 fields come out of the content table, so we have to look a the content export.
The content export has a field called article_url, this will export the SEF URL (assuming you have SEF enabled) as used on the front-end of the site. So this does include the menu item link if you have one. The way this works is that CSVI asks Joomla for the front-end URL and Joomla returns the correct SEF Link. So there is no need for CSVI to search the menu table or other tables. We use the core code so it is consistent with what Joomla produces.
Let me know if this answers your question or if you have any further questions.

Hi,
My question is simple. 99% of the menu items on my Joomla site are simple article link.
I want an Excel-compatible export that will include:
1) The title of the article on the first column (content table)
2) The full alias of the menu item link to this article as this is the one used on the front-end (menu table + other queries maybe to display the parent submenu alias in the final alias?)
3) Meta description (content table)
4) Meta keywords (content table)
The tricky point is the point number 2. Could you please tell me if I can easily achieve this with your plugin?
Thanks
