Resolved Export/import virtuemart products and categories

Hi ,

i am exporting products and categories from virtuemart 2.0.20b to virtuemart 3.2.1, 2 different Joomla installations. The first is Joomla 2.5 the latter 3.7.

The most important things to keep is category association . I tried more than once this import without success on associations and language setup.

The main problem is category association and products not showing because of the language setup.

Can you please help and indicate how you would proceed in a similar case using your product?

Hi , i deleted and followed the instructions in the file .

However products are still not showing up.
The product CSV headers are:

"product_sku","manufacturer_name","product_name","published","file_url","file_url_thumb","category_id","virtuemart_product_id","category_path"

the category headers are:

"category_path","category_description","file_url","file_url_thumb","published"

i just want to import one language: english

Hello,
You should not be using virtuemart_product_id in your import file. CSVI imports products based on product_sku so remove virtuemart_product_id and then run the import. The reason why we dont use fields ending with _id is that they are primary key fields of database tables and using them can mess up the records in database.
