We cannot do that, we need the url in the item_url to be the same as shown in the browser. As we are going to use the export file for SEO purposes, a URL using the format with item ID is simply not acceptable as you can imagine.
I was digging into K2 code to find on how it generates item SEF URL based on category and alias. I found that K2 uses menu item link for SEF URL if exists and if the menu item does not exist then K2 router generates SEF URL based on category and title alias. In my case there was menu item and that was based on item ID.
We bought your extension to expedite the process of exporting the articles and it worked great so far except for this issue. Can you kindly find a solution for us?
Finally I found the solution for this issue. Please
load the updated patch file and run the export. Check if SEF URL is generated as expected.
