Sorry to disturb you again!

On a website with two RO CSVI importants (usually daily) I had no imports since 12DEC2025 till yesterday. The offices were closed in the meantime. And in the meantime RO CSVI were updated to the version 9.3.0.

And after my yesterdays import I couldn't update the index and I cannot edit the articles - getting the attached error messages!

1) Do I have to change back to 9.2.0 and test it again?
2) Do I have to make any changes in my import templates?

Best regards,
Heinz

Additional information:
A field named "alias" cannot being copied (with a rule) from the generated file "title". Tests to fill it direct with an original cell content doesn't work as well!
Could it be that this a change from 9.2.0 to 9.3.0?

Hello Heinz,

As for the issue with a broken article editing, are you importing any custom fields? If so, that can be the case due to incorrect item separator. If the item separator is set to a comma and you are importing custom field values that are comma separated they will be stored as arrays. That could be the cause as we have seen that with other users.

As for the second issue, that seems to be completely unrelated, can you open a new ticket for that and add the relevant information such as a backup of the template and a sample of the file you are importing, we can check for you what is going on.
Kind regards,

RolandD

Hi Roland

I guess it's one and the only problem - but no idea why!

1) The only done change was (from my point of view) the update of RO CSVI
2) There was no change of the template, the rule or the source code
3) It worked correct in 2025 (last update 12DEC2025)
4) It generated the error (and the following error - articles without an alias) yesterday evening the first time we used the functionality again (almost daily)

Attached you'll find the template, the rule and what happened (preview-pictures) and as well the file to import.

Best regards,
Heinz

Hello Heinz,
With RO CSVI 9.3.0 we added a feature for custom fields to use Separators as set in template. That is the reason you see it not working in this version. In your import file Stärken,Erfahrung,Erfolgethe custom fields have values with comma and that is breaking the import. To solve this in your import template on Separator tab change item separator to any other character other than comma and run the import. That will solve the error.

Also for Field copy rule, you have applied rule on alias field. Change that and apply the rule on title field from where value has to be copied and check the import.
Kind regards,

Tharuna

Hi Tharuna

Thanks a lot for your guidance! The combination of those has been the solution - and it worked after I deleted all the records within Joomla and imported it again! Everything ok - wish you an excellent day!
