Resolved Error on updating Available fields after update to CSVI 7.5.1

Hello Porscha,

There must be something else going on I think or at least a combination of things. We need to figure out which update is failing. So I have prepared a new patch, can you give that a try please? If the update still fails, then at least I know it won't be the VirtueMart part that fails. Then I will make something else to find out where the issue occurs.

The list of available fields is out-of-date for extension com_customfilters.

This just happens because the update doesn't complete.

This error shows up when you have an CSVI addon installed and the available fields of that addon are outdated. Are you using CSVI custom filters addon? if yes, Did you also update the Custom filters addon to 7.5.1 version?

These are extension s that I have installed

Now I added these in case the are needed, but again the same update error is shown and available fields are not updated:

I am using Custom Filters PRO by breakdesign
Current : v. 2.6.1 (15 March 2018) Updated
but I think that I have every needed extension, because I have made the same update of Joomla, VM and CSVI and custom filters pro on other site - absolutely the same as that I have a problem with, and on the first site I did not have problem with updating fields. But here somethings is not right and can not find what

I was able to reproduce the MySql error when updating the available fields. I have fixed it with the attached patch file. Can you load the patch file and give a try with available fields update?

I've loaded the patch (the file is correctly added), cleared cache and ran a "Fix Database" as well. Nothing changes and I still have the same error and I'm not able to update the fields. Can you check if this is the correct patch or if there might be a different solution to fix this.

I can not give you an access to the site, but can you please check again the patch that you gave me, because it is called patch_vm_2018-03-30.zip but the problem is in com_customflters, because the error message says "The list of available fields is out-of-date for extension com_customfilters." Does com_customfilters is related to Breakdesign's extension Custom filters Pro? I am attaching you the log, that I have managed to find from site. It seems that it starts, has a few successful results and that there is an error.

I have also tried to downgrade to version 7.5.0 but the error is the same.

It is me again I made a comparison between site with error and site without error in updating fields. Exactly the same version of everything and on the same server. Have looked into Maintenance > Available fields >Search Tools >Component - Custom Filters and you can check the table with results. Somehow it does not want to update the fields from table cf_customfields. I dont now if does make sense to you, but Í've check it and wanted to share the info.

The error seems to occur when you have no tax rules defined in VirtueMart. Is that the case for you?

I do not have tax rules indeed, but I am using VM only as a catalog. No prices and taxes, deliveries, shipping, anything. We are using CSVI on another site, which is exactly the same as this one. The only difference is the language. We have updated the component and the extensions on the other site and there are no issues. Both sites are on the same hosting. The difference, that I have noticed, is that on the site with the error, the error message says: The list of available fields is out-of-date for extension com_customfilters. On the site, where everything was ok after the update and I have managed to update the fields without problem, the message was: The list of available fields is out-of-date for extension com_modules.

Edit: I tried to create tax rule, and to update the fileds, but again the same error.

Wow, thank you Roland for your work and efforts! The patch worked absolutely perfect and fields are updated. Everything is good now. I really can not understand what was the difference, the 2 sites are exactly the same, only the language is different. I want to tell you that I am amazed how well you know your product and how every time, when I have a problem, you and your team manage to solve it. Your support is number one!

I have this exact same problem and use Virtuemart as a catalog. You did not list the updated patch you created. Where can get this, I have the same error when I try to update the fields:

You have an error in your SQL syntax; check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near '' at line 1
The list of available fields is out-of-date for extension com_modules. Update the list to ensure you have all fields available.
