Anyone know the solution to this error that I get when installing the package in joomla install with csvi_7.1.0?

I too am getting this error.

After purchasing csvi today, I apparently downloaded and installed 5.21.2 instead of the latest version and was unable to update to 7.1.0. I followed the instructions for removing the tables and uninstalling the extension but when I try to install the newer version, I get:

"Unknown column 'csvi_setting_id' in 'where clause' SQL=SELECT `params` FROM `#__csvi_settings` WHERE `csvi_setting_id` = 1 Package Install: There was an error installing an extension: com_csvi_7.1.0_pro.zip

I tried reinstalling 5.21.2 and repeating the steps to remove everything in case I had omitted a step but still get the same error. Installing on localhost with Joomla 3.6.5 and Virtuemart 3.0.18. This is a relatively fresh install of both of those with only AWO Coupon (free version), Regular Labs Snippets, Soiral Download for Virtuemart and original templates installed.

Also get this same error when installing 7.1.0 on hosted test version with Joomla 3.6.5 and Virtuemart 3.2.1 where 7.1.0 was the first install

What can I try next?

Hello Lindee,
The MySQL error is about CSVI looking for one of its field in database table and could not find it. It means there are still leftovers of your CSVI installation. Please follow the document Uninstall CSVI to clean up your installation and install CSVI 7.1.0 version directly instead of using CSVI 5.21.2.
Kind regards,

Tharuna

Thanks for the quick reply. However, I did follow those steps - twice before posting my question. And on the live test site, the extension hasn't been installed.

Since my localhost version wasn't so far along, i created a fresh install and loaded 7.1.0. Can't do that with the hosted version though.

Hello Lindee,
Can you please check on two things on your host? Check if there are tables starting with #__csvi (ignore this if its already done) and other is to check if there are folders /administrator/components/com_csvi and components/com_csvi in your Joomla installation. If your find any of these, please delete them manually and try the installation again.
Kind regards,

Tharuna

I don't know how to access the database on the hosted test site. The other guy does that part. I'm the rookie trying to figure out stuff.

On my local site, I created an entirely new joomla/virtuemart setup and successfully added version 7

Hello Lindee,
You seem to have sent a private message with password enabled, i could read it from email but not able to reply to your message. The site details you have sent is not enough, you need to send me your Joomla administrator username and password and details to access your database. Please send these so i can look into your installation issue.
Kind regards,

Tharuna
